Just the mention of the word gynecologist in a group of women will result in emotional responses from squeals of laughter to the re-telling of horror stories.

The one thing that's guarantied is that everyone will have an opinion about going to a female gynecologist.

We often wonder if our breasts will ever regain its shape after being flattened to the shape of a pancake.

Literally, outside medicine, it means "the science of women". It is the counterpart to andrology, which deals with medical issues specific to the male reproductive system.
